I conduct thorough health history intake processes for each client, evaluating their health history to rule out contraindications or determine appropriate session adaptations. If I suspect an undiagnosed condition that massage may be inappropriate for, I will refer the client to a qualified healthcare professional and delay the massage session until approval has been granted.

I adhere to the commonly accepted scope of practice for massage therapists, bodywork and coaching professionals, providing only treatments and techniques for which I am fully trained and hold credible credentials. I acknowledge the limitations of massage, bodywork, and coaching, and refrain from exaggerating its benefits throughout my marketing efforts. I demonstrate compassion, respect, and tolerance for all individuals, seeking to decrease discrimination, misunderstandings, and prejudice.

I uphold the dignity and rights of all individuals by providing a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for sessions, utilizing appropriate and skilled draping procedures, and upholding the integrity of the therapeutic relationship. I recognize a client's right to determine what happens to their body and obtain informed consent before providing massage or bodywork services. I keep client communication and information confidential, ensuring every effort is made to respect a client's right to privacy.

I maintain professional boundaries and refrain from behaviors that may be considered sexual in my massage practice. I do not engage in sexual impropriety and am dedicated to educating others about the consequences of such behavior within the massage field. I follow good business practices with regard to record-keeping, regulation compliance, and tax law. I set fair fees and practice honesty throughout my marketing materials.

I work to maintain clear and honest communication with clients and colleagues, projecting a professional image in my behavior and personal appearance. I actively strive to positively promote the massage and bodywork profession through self-development and continual skill-building. When you partake in my services, I may collect and retain certain financial and/or personal health information necessary for processing payments and providing optimal care.

Your financial and personal health information is exclusively utilized for processing payments and tailoring my services to meet your specific needs. I do not share this information with third parties except as necessary to fulfill your requests or as required by law. I employ stringent measures to safeguard your financial and/or personal health information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Your financial information is retained only for the duration necessary to fulfill its purpose, and personal health information is securely retained in compliance with HIPAA regulations for as long as necessary for providing ongoing care and maintaining accurate records. You have the right to review, update, or delete your financial and/or personal health information held by me at any time.
